Karena LaPlace is an author, speaker, business trainer, financial and talent coach. She has more than 15 years of experience training large groups and individuals as a university administrative educator. Karena is passionate about helping people discover their purpose in life and assisting people in reaching their full potential. Karena believes in a results-based approach to training and coaching. She enjoys writing fiction, self-help, financial, and Christian books.
Karena earned a Master's Degree in Communication Studies with an Option in Pedagogy from Eastern Illinois University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois. She is trained through the NeuroLeadership Institute as a Brain-Based Coach. She is also trained as a Money Mentor through the University of Illinois Extension Office.
Currently, Karena is a published author of the book, Almost, and works as the Training Coordinator at the University of Illinois. She resides in the Midwest with her husband and two children.
